Tea and some wedding shopping

What to have for tea-break?
Coffee is a must. Something sweet, something savory.

So we settled for carrot cake and those too addictive truffle fries at PS cafe.
10 mins later and gone.

Well actually the main aim of this post was to show-off the lovely pair of heels I got for my wedding.
I am like a magpie I love shiny stuff. Love love love

Chye Seng Huat Hardware

With a weird name and its nondescript look and feel, CSHH is a coffee joint that basically defines the word 'Hipster'

The coffee is by the same people behind Papa Palheta so you know its going to be good.

Smoked salmon with pancakes

chicken and mango wrap, very refreshing.
Food items were ok, both dishes we ordered were tasty and we had no complains but the coffee remains this joint's star.
We sat at the counter and had a fun time watching the baristas making coffee, it really is an art, so fascinating with the hissing sound that accompanies the steaming and foaming of the milk, the grinding of the beans to the pouring of the milk for that heart/leave on top of your coffee.

Stranger's Reunion

Like typical Singaporeans, we headed down to Strangers' Reunion after hearing that the co-owner is a barista champion and we were not disappointed. The coffee was thick, rich and just that hint of sweetness, making sugar unnecessary. To be able to drink a cuppa without sugar is, to me the mark of a good cup of coffee.

Roast pork baguette, viet--style with nicely seasoned veg and crispy roast pork. The zesty dressing provided a nice contrast against the fatty meat. I did wish the bread wasnt so tough though

Mmm buttermilk waffles. One of the better ones I have had, only losing out slightly to Department of Caffeine's, definitely top 5.

Nylon Coffee Roasters

Hipster central, attracting boys and girls in various forms of vintage clothing and large nerd specs. Whether its clientele appeals to you, Nylon Coffee serves some damm good coffee.
My criteria for good coffee is pretty simple, as long as it taste good without sugar I am happy.

Happily indulging in some Sarah loft's goodies ( bake sale!), the carrot cake and elderflower cake were so good. I need to get my ass down to her cafe.

Btw, there is basically one seat in the coffee place so its really just a take-away joint
