Lola's Cafe

The forever crowded Lola's cafe at Kovan, we popped by on a rainy evening for an early dinner and still had to queue.

Coffee and the popular wings. (You can get one-for-one coffee with the entertainer app!)

The honey paprika wings were sweet, crispy and altogether delicious. Although I felt that the flavor laid more in the skin and did not really penetrate the meat.

The mains were decent though nothing to shout about

Ending our meal with a decadent nutella tart mmm

Will come back to try the brunch menu, if only it wasnt so crowded

Two Wings + Immanuel French Kitchen

Salute coffeeshop at Bukit Merah must be the coolest coffeeshop in Singapore. The typical drink stall sells unique draft beer and then we have your choice of Western food - French, Seafood, German and lastly Two Wings.

Too many options and too little stomach space (just the two of us that day) so we decided on 2 stalls.

Duck confit from Immanuel French Kitchen. Very creamy mash and I love that the duck confit wasnt too salty. Great dish and very good price of course haha

Couldnt resist this. Huge plate of cheese fries from two wings. Tasted like how it looked I guess, gooey delicious sinfulness.

Finally. What we came here for, wings from two wings and damm were they good. Crispy and wonderfully marinated with a good crunch. Probably the best wings I have had in Singapore.
Must try.

Wing Stop

So many chicken wing places popping up nowadays! Well I am not complaining since I am a big fan.
Walked past Wing Stop at Bedok Mall and decided to give this place a try, of course the relatively empty interior should have given us a sense of how good the food is here (Singaporeans know their food well!)

Anyway Wing Stop is basically like your everyday fast food joint, instead of burgers though you get wings. Each set gets you 6 pcs (well 3 wings actually) in 2 different flavours, 1 side and drink.

Our choices - garlic parmesan and lemon pepper

I thought the seasoning was decent, but the wings themselves were limp and dry. Pretty disappointing. That say, the honey mustard dip for the fries was darn addictive.
